All good Warriors require knowledge and training; without one, the other is made redundant. To set the Wasabi Warriors brand apart, Wasabi Warriors has unleashed upon the fresh food world a man who possesses both. His name: Master Sushi Chef, Hideo Dekura.
The Master's journey began in 1944 in Yotsua, Japan. His father owned several restaurants in the region and when the young Dekura was ready, he began his sushi training. Master Chef Dekura learnt the principles of sushi and kappou-ryori food preparation, cooking and presentation that had been passed down through many generations of his family. After years of cooking and demonstrating in Japan, Europe and the USA, Master Chef Dekura settled in Sydney.
The honour 'roll' Upon arrival in Australia, Master Chef Dekura established his own catering and consulting company, Culinary Studio DEKURA. He also set about to write several Japanese cookbooks including: Sashimi, Sushi Modern, Japanese Flavours – Modern Classics, Japanese Cooking at Home, and The Complete Book of Sushi and Teppanyaki.
Fight for the right to sushi Recognising the need to bring top quality sushi to the convenience market, Master Chef Dekura has joined the Wasabi Warriors in battle for fresh, quality and unique Sushi flavours. Master Chef Dekura ensures that Wasabi Warrior is a cut above the competition. He has done this by developing the menu and he, or his trained apprentices train franchisees in the ancient art of sushi making as his father trained him. |
